Reader schedule

Readers who know what they will read

KerkPoint is an online scheduling platform for churches, from €9.99 per month. Readers see when it is their turn and which readings go with it, and swap themselves when it does not work out.

A good reading starts with preparation

A reader who reads the passage aloud on Saturday evening reads more calmly and clearly on Sunday. That only works if they know in time that it is their turn, and which passages will be read. A schedule on paper or in a group chat usually only tells them the first.

Turn and readings together

In KerkPoint you record the readings for every service. The reader opens the service and sees them there, on their phone too. If the preacher changes the reading, the reader sees the new version straight away.

Spread fairly over the year

Add the regular readers to the role and let KerkPoint fill the schedule for the coming months. Everyone takes their turn, and anyone who said they cannot serve is skipped. You also see who has read often lately.

Reminders and swaps

From the Plus plan readers get a reminder before the service. If someone cannot make it, they ask for a swap themselves. With the Premium plan readers also put their turns in their own calendar.

Arranging the music and the projection for the service too? Have a look at the organist schedule and the projection schedule, or read how to create a complete church schedule.

Everyone knows when it is their turn

Volunteers get an e-mail or notification when they are scheduled and a reminder beforehand. Can they not make it? They ask for a swap and someone else takes over with one tap.
