A schedule the church council makes itself
The elder-on-duty schedule is often a document the church clerk sends round once a year. Then the swapping starts: someone is on holiday, someone else has a funeral, and the changes arrive in separate e-mails. By the end of the year nobody knows which version is right.
Office-bearers as a role at the service
In KerkPoint you add the elder and deacon on duty as a role at every service. You see in one overview which services do not have an office-bearer yet. For an extra service, such as a day of prayer or thanksgiving, the role is there straight away.
Shared fairly over the year
Add the elders to the role and let KerkPoint fill the schedule. Everyone takes their turn, and anyone who said they are on holiday is skipped. When someone swaps, the church clerk sees it in the schedule straight away and does not have to send round a new version.
Together with the collection
The deacon on duty often looks after the collection. In KerkPoint you also record the collection goals per service. That way everything that belongs to the service is in one place. Read more under the offering schedule.
