Children's ministry runs on a small group
Children's church and Sunday school are usually carried by a handful of parents and volunteers. If one drops out, someone has to find a replacement on Saturday evening. The more groups, the harder it is to keep track.
Leaders per group
In KerkPoint you create a role per group and set how many leaders are needed. Per Sunday you see which group is still missing someone. If a group needs two leaders, the place stays open until the second one is scheduled.
A Sunday school schedule without separate lists
Sunday school may be during the sermon, or on Sunday afternoon in a room of its own. The Sunday school schedule works the same as the one for children's church. You create a role per class or age group, set how many leaders are needed, and see per Sunday which class is still missing someone. If Sunday school is at another time than the service, you record that time as a separate recurring service, so the schedule carries on by itself every week.
Availability and a fair spread
Leaders pass on in advance when they cannot serve, for example during the school holidays. If you let KerkPoint fill the schedule, everyone takes their turn and those days are skipped. That way the work does not always land on the same parents.
Reminders and swaps
From the Plus plan leaders get an e-mail when scheduled and a reminder before the Sunday. If someone cannot make it, they ask for a swap and someone else takes over with one click. Logging in works with a link by e-mail, without a password.
