Why organists deserve a schedule of their own

Organists have different needs from most volunteers. There are often a few regular names and a handful of stand-ins, and it matters whether it is a morning or an evening service, which location it is, and whether it is an ordinary Sunday or a special service. In a general spreadsheet that nuance gets lost quickly.

In KerkPoint "organist" is a role of its own at every service. You see in one overview who plays when, and you keep the spread fair without leafing back through old lists.

Regular organists and stand-ins

You schedule your regular organists at the services and buildings where they play. Stand-ins are added as extra volunteers for the same role. If a regular organist drops out, you assign the service to a stand-in straight away, without upsetting the rest of the schedule.

Keeping an eye on the rotation

When you schedule, you see who has played in recent weeks. That way you spread the services evenly and avoid the same person always taking the busy Sundays.

Special services

Funerals and weddings, Christmas, Easter, harvest festival: those are often exactly the services for which you want a particular organist. You create them as separate services with their own roles and schedule the organist for them separately.

In their own calendar

With the Premium plan every organist adds their planning to their own calendar app with a personal iCal link. When the schedule changes, the calendar changes with it: no more confusion about which Sunday it was again.

The organist schedule is part of your wider church schedule. Arranging the sextons too? Have a look at the sexton schedule. See the prices or try the demo.

Everyone knows when it is their turn

Volunteers get an e-mail or notification when they are scheduled and a reminder beforehand. Can they not make it? They ask for a swap and someone else takes over with one tap.
